A Tribute to Federica Pellegrini, Italian Swimmer

federica-pellegrini.jpgOlypics Games are involving everybody and we are totally engaged to substain our Italian teams in all the disciplines where they’re challenging.

But an article to Federica Pellegrini is obliged. She is the emblem ouf our nation in swim and at the age of 28 Federica remains a great athlete that struggles every moment for her flag.

So… Who is she?

She holds the women’s 200 m freestyle world records (long course and short course), and won a Gold Medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. At the 2009 World Championships in Rome, Pellegrini became the first woman ever to breach the 4 minute barrier in 400 m freestyle with the time 3:59.15. Pellegrini is the first female Olympic champion in the history of Italianswimming; she is also the only Italian swimmer to have set world records in more than one event.

Triathlon for Rio 2016

http-%2F%2Fcoresites-cdn.factorymedia.com%2Fmpora_new%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2016%2F05%2FRio-2016-Pi55 triathlets men and others 55 women are going to represent 42 world nations in the Olympic Challenges in Rio de Janeiro. Today is the day: they must face a though track, very different from the routes we usually know. This article do discover you all what is waiting for these triathlets.

 

First: the swimming proof takes place in the ocean, and everybody will struggle against the strong brasilian flows for 1.500 metres, or better: 1.5 km! Then the T1 (swim + bike) will be practiced in front of Fort Copacabana shore, one of the beautiful marine landscape

Bike’s route, instead, takes place along 40 km, organized in to’s and fro’s repetitions of 5 km each one. The last effort is represented by run, in a path of 2,5 km on a hilly ground

Guess who will be the winner… We just say: Go Italy!
